Today in class we read a few pages and answered questions #3, 4, and 5 and we completed a worksheet.
Notes:
Inflation- a drastic drop in the value of money
Mercenary- foreign soldiers who fought for money
Diocletian- a strong army leader
Attila- powerful chieftain
3. What were the main internal causes of the empire's decline?
Growing population, economy fall, and taxes were raised.
4. How did Diocletian succeed in preserving the empire?
He split the empire in half and ruled in Eastern part.
5. Why did so many Germanic tribes begin invading the Roman Empire?
The Roman Empire began to break apart with the continuous invasions and loss of binding cultural aspect.
