Today in class we read and took notes in our blogs.

The United States is declining and here are a few reasons why. Their health and their education is weak. the government makes sure that everyone in the United States is treated equally which is a good sign. The education in the United States is also starting to improving a little bit at a time. I think that the Roman Empire fell but the United States is still doing well right now. Another one of the United States weaknesses is their health. There is a lot of drugs and alcohol being used in this country. I think that the United States isn't declining and the Roman Empire did because the United States is built better and is stronger than Rome was even before they began to fall.

Today in class we took more notes on the powerpoint. We learned and took notes on how they printed pages of books by using a machine. It takes a lot of steps just to print out a few pages of a book. We also finished talking about Michelangelo and the statue he created out of marble that took a few years to make.

Test Blog

Today in class we came in and studied for ten minutes. After we studied we took the test that was out of 75 points. I had a good feeling I did good on it. Once they were graded, Mr. Schick put it on veracross and I got a 70/75 which is a 93%. After we took the test we started to read and take notes on pg. 118-126. The first note I took was the first title of the page which was "Unit 2 New Directions in Government and Society 2000 B.C.-A.D. 700". The next note I took was the timeline and in 200 B.C.- Minoan civilization prospers on Crete (Minoan vase). 1780 B.C.- Hammurabi issues code of laws and in 1500 B.C.- Mycen culture thrives on Greek mainland. 1472 B.C.- Hatshepsut, woman pharaoh, begins her reign. Notes Blog

Today in class we finished up the powerpoint and finished reviewing for the test on Friday. Renaissance and Reformation- "reformed"= "Reformation". 1. People win salvation by faith in God's gift of forgiveness. 2. All Church teachings should be clearly based on the words of the Bible. 3. All people with faith are equal. People do not need priests to interpret the Bible for them. Luther suggests Christians drive the pope from the Church by force! Pope Leo X excommunicates Luther. Holy Roman Emperor Charles V is a devout Christian who wants Luther to recant. He is to be arrested on sight. Some of his followers had formed a separate religious group called Lutherans. Catholic is a term meaning "universal" or "whole".
