New Chapter Blog

Today in class we took notes on a new chapter that we are learning. We are supposed to take good notes so we are prepared for our test at the end of the chapter. I looked at my grade from the last test that we took and noticed that I didn't do as well as I expected. I just have to study even harder for the next upcoming test on the chapter that we read and take notes on. We reviewed the test that we took and went around the room and read out the answers. We will have a sub for two weeks so we were going over the work that we have to do while Mr. Schick is out and talking about our upcoming test that I have to start studying for once I start taking notes on the chapter.

Test Day Blog

Today in class we took a test that was 40 questions and counts as 100 points. We had five minutes to study before the test and that helped me a lot so I had all of the answers at the top of my head when the questions came up on the test. Hopefully I did good on it because it counts as a lot of points. I think I did well but I just have to wait and see.

Today in class we reviewed for our test. We talked about the Persian Empire and how Alexander The Great never lost a battle. Alexander The Great became the leader after his dad was assassinated. He went all the way to India. The people from India used the War of Elephants. They trained elephants to charge at the enemies. The elephants could run them over. Alexander The Great still one that battle even against the elephants. Right before he was going to become an actual leader, he was killed. He was also a drinker. After he died, three of the generals split the empire up into three sections and they each ruled their own part of their section. Hydapses was the river where the war against the elephants was fought. Alexandria was the center of commerce and the Nile River. Archimedes was the person who found the number pi. "Destination City" to trade and to sell.
